Head Coach Audrey Kamm
Audrey Kamm is the Head Coach of IllinoiSkating. For the 2010-2011 season, she will serve as Head Coach of the Senior team and act as Assistant Coach for the Collegiate Team. This is Audrey’s fifth year working with the IllinoiSkating program. She began as a part time coach for the 2006-2007 season and started coaching the team full-time the following season.
Audrey is a PSA member and has her Certified Team, Certified Moves, and Senior Group ratings. She challenges her teams to continue improving across all aspects of ice skating; including moves, dance, and freestyle and privately coaches many of the girls on the team herself.
Audrey began skating at the the age of 10 in Peoria, IL. She has passed ISI Freestyle 8, Senior Moves in the Field, Senior Freestyle, and Gold Dance. In college, Audrey skated on the Miami collegiate team in 2001 and the Miami Senior Varsity team from 2002-2005. Audrey graduated in the 2005 from Miami University with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership Management.
In addition to coaching the IllinoiSkating team, Audrey is the Head Coach of the Ice Cubes, a local ISI synchronized skating team that hopes to expand to two teams this coming season.
Assistant Coach Shawna Ludy
Shawna Ludy is the Assistant Coach of IllinoiSkating. For the 2010-2011 season, she will serve as Assistant Coach of the Senior team and act as Head Coach for the Collegiate Team. This is Shawna’s first year working with the IllinoiSkating program.
Shawna is a PSA member. She has passed Senior Moves in the Field, Senior Freestyle, and ISI Freestyle 9. She grew up skating in Peoria, IL and began coaching all levels of skaters and ISI teams from 2000-2004. From 2004-2008, she skated for the Haydenettes in Lexington, MA, co-captaining the team for two seasons and earning a World Championships bronze medal for the Free Program in 2008.
Shawna attended Palmer Institute of Massage Therapy where she earned her certificate in Massage Therapy. She has also received her NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) foundations certificate. Shawna is also in the process of finishing her Bachelors in Exercise and Health Sciences at University of Massachusetts Boston.
In addition to skating for the Haydenettes, Shawna was also a member of the Hayden coaching staff. She was an assistant co-coach of the Mini Mates Juvenile team and worked with the older teams as an off ice Conditioning Trainer. She was also coach and choreographer of the University of New Hampshire’s Collegiate team.
